What Can Our Autism School Offer to Iowa Teens?
Every Iowa parent with a teen on the autism spectrum knows how hard it is to find a suitable autism school that has everything needed for a mental and emotional progress of struggling Iowa teens.
Seven Stars offers a complex treatment plan, specifically designed for each and every Iowa teen we admit. To be able to create such a plan, we start assessing our students from the very first day.
Iowa students that stay with us are given a number of medical and psychological tests as well as comprehensive analysis of their mental and emotional state. For Iowa teens who experienced a trauma or are having a hard time being separated from their families, our autism school offers a stabilization period that can last up to two weeks.
After assessment and a (possible) stabilization period, Iowa students are involved in academic and social life on the campus, giving them an opportunity to increase their cognitive abilities, work on their social skills and find new friends. Individual and group therapies are there so teens can get an individual guidance and their progress can be measured. The adventure therapy is a big part of our autism school as well, as it teaches our students how to confront their fears and how to be more independent.
When the treatment is completed, a thorough, multidisciplinary report is created by our autism school so you as a parent can more easily decide the next step for your Iowa teen.
Iowa Teens Can Get Treatment in our Autism School
Our autism school for Iowa teens is specialized in working with teen teens who are on the autism spectrum or have some other neurodevelopmental disorder. Every Iowa teen that we admit is fully assessed and, if needed, provided with a stabilization period in which he or she can recuperate emotionally and mentally and get ready for the rest of the treatment. Our autism school combines several different types of therapy so every Iowa teen can get the best out of each one.
We are located in Utah at a location which provides us with numerous options for the adventure therapy, which is an important part of our treatment. For families living in Iowa, we offer tours so you can see for yourself everything our autism school offers for Iowa teens.
Our team, consisting of all the relevant professionals, is always happy to talk to you and describe you their work with Iowa teens. It can even be a plus for struggling Iowa teens to be separated from their usual environment so they can learn new life skills, be more independent, improve their social and academic skills, and learn how to function without a constant support of their families. Only then can Iowa teens develop the necessary attitude to succeed in life.
